Stravinsky

is a bright and expressive artwork which was created when, on the one hand, being impressed by music by Igor Stravinsky and his works “Firebird”, “Petrushka” and “Les noces” which are based on Russian folklore. On the other hand, she was inspired by the fountain “Stravinsky”, constructed by Swiss architect Jean Tinguely. It is one of the most extraordinary and interesting fountains in Paris.

The flowers to Klimpt

The art of Gustav Klimpt inspired the creation of this painting. The painting is purposefully drawn flat: Chinese clematis and gold vignette do not have volume and have a decorative nature. Suddenly the leaves of exotic flower appear in the middle, as if on the Klimpt’s painting. The leaves seem to grow from the canvas, from the painting’s background. This way the flat ornament makes up the volume.

A Japanese mood

The guard of the garden

is the portrait of an elegant cat who one day was running by the house of the artist. That day the cat suddenly appeared in the garden of the, investigated it and suddenly disappeared. After that the cat came several times as though his job was to patrol his assumed territory. On the painting Marina depicts the cat in an abstact way, featuring him curled around the Japanese vase with dry flowers.
